Dr. Graff graduated from Cornell University
summa cum laude as a biology major in 1990. She met her husband, Jeff
Graff, at Cornell and married him prior to starting medical school at
the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. After graduating from
medical school cum laude in 1994, she completed a three-year Family
Practice Residency at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh, PA. During her
third year of residency, she worked with the University of Pittsburgh’s
Semester at Sea program as an assistant physician, allowing her and her
husband to travel to Japan, Hong Kong, China, and Vietnam. She also
spent a month in western Ireland working with a rural family physician.
Dr. Graff and her husband relocated to
Canandaigua, NY in 1997 following completion of her residency. She was
employed by Thompson Health, providing primary care including
obstetrics at the Honeoye Family Practice, for nine years before
deciding to open her own practice in Canandaigua in 2006.
They have two children—David, age 11,
adopted from Vietnam and Erica (a.k.a. Ricky), age 8, adopted from
South Korea.
Dr. Graff organizes and swims in the annual
Canandaigua Lake Swim. This one mile swim across the width of
Canandaigua Lake was started in 2000 in memory of her dear friend and
mentor, Dr. David Reed, who was a founder of the specialty of family medicine. To date it has raised over $100,000 for
Ontario-Yates Hospice.
